JC2MapViewer is a map viewer for Just Cause 2, written in C#. It loads a Just Cause 2 save game and displays missed resource/chaos items, required for 100% completion.

This program was originally written by DerPlaya78 using BruTile as the tiling library. Since the development stopped in 2010 with 0.3 as the final version, bugs remained and some have been fixed in this version. The JC2.Save library contains some additional information about Just Cause 2 save games (statistics, mission state, etc.), that is not used by the viewer, so anyone interested can use it in their programs.

Save games are located in: %ProgramFiles%\Steam\userdata\[steam_id]\8190\remote

For more information, see Readme.txt.

  • 0.3.3: Added taskbar icon, new zoom buttons.
  • 0.3.2: Added Reload button and scrollbars for smaller screens.
  • 0.3.1: Fixed some minor bugs and typos, minor GUI overhaul.
  • 0.3: Added experimental support for Xbox 360 save games.
  • 0.2: Added settlement information.

I have a dumb question. Did U placed it where it needs to be? Or 1.) try turning off the Virus protection during start up 2.) Place the link on the white list of your Virus protection.

I'm a bit late, but I've added the auto-reload!

I've loaded my savegame but instead of showing things left, it shows me everything.

I could probably do that, but currently I'm busy with finals, so I can do it in a month or two.

good luck with your finals!
and yes, it would be awesome

I haven't heard anything about the original author, but I'm still alive. ^^

oh, that's wonderful, and i meant you, not the original author :)
i have a request and want to ask if this is possible to implement (if you still work on this nice tool).
i'm using your updated map viewer on my second monitor.
further i save often and i always use the same savegame slot for map viewer reason. so i only have to alt+tab out of the game and press "reload".
what if next to the "reload" button would be a checkbox and a pulldown-menü. with the checkbox you could active some kind of "auto-reload" and (since it takes a little while when you filter for all the things you can see on the map) with the pulldown-menü you could chose one of a few preset minute intervals.
like 1 minute for the fastest auto-reload, then 5, then 10 and maybe 15 minutes.
what do you say?

This is a standalone program, so you just extract it anywhere you want and run the executable.

Thanks! It works like a charm.
