  • fsxskymaster : I think it would still work. I got the first person superman mod for first person parachuting, the Bolopatch to hide the cross-hairs, and I turned the HUD transparency all the way up, so anything on the screen appeared invisible. Now if only I could control the camera more easily, I could make some awesome cinematics.
  • Kaii : Thanks for your kind words guys! @fsxskymaster, don't see any viable way to do that, sorry. It would require making a new type of camera, and we don't have that level of control unfortunately. Sowwie! Now if there were a vehicle that had that kind of movement, it would be no problem making it invisible

  • voxbox13 : @fsxskymaster - Here's a skin for the Civ999 - It doesn't have "glowing" lighting, but from the screenshots, it might be a decent paint-job. (PS - While it's frustrating that JC2 doesn't have mod tools, the things that CAN be done are relatively easy to do. I learned how, and I've never modded anything before in my life. So you could make your own Civ999 skin. :)

  • fsxskymaster : *I wasn't finished with that post I hit enter by accident. Anyway I was going to say that it is my favorite car because it looks really cool and it's really fast. The only thing I REALLY wish it had was under glow or some kind of cool lighting besides just the head lights and tail lights. It's times like this when you wish so much that Just Cause 2 wasn't a mod tool-less console port! ):

  • voxbox13 : @FAWLTLINE - The vehicles have to be individually modded to be indestructible. There are quite a few already available in the Mods section. If you don't see what you're looking for, let us know. (Are there any in particular that are your favorites?)
  • FAWLTLINE : Does anybody know, if there is a mod that will make the vehicle that you're currently in control of, indestructible? You see, I love driving in the desert, snowy mountains, and so on, but the thing is... Your car doesn't like that.. At all.. Neither do I, i hate it when my car gets a dent or something like that.. That is why I'd love a link to a mod, that make your vehicle 100% indestructible (no dents, no broken windows, nothing at all). Thanks :)

  • fsxskymaster : Kaii: did you read that person's request for a third person omniscient camera? (as in it can float around completely unattached to Rico) I thought this sounded really cool. Could you, being an expert on camera modding, try to carry this out? I think the whole reason for it would be to make cool cinematic movies involving the beautiful scenery of Panau on levels that cannot be achieved with the limitations of Rico's abilities. Thanks!

There is SOOOO much about this game that cannot be modded -- It's kind of amazing how many ways people HAVE figured out how to mod it. Under the circumstances, (no Dev Tools, etc) it's pretty cool.

I was actually working on having Panay's sub spawn right on top of the MHC, making it cover up the actual yacht and so it looks like the balloons are holding up the sub. It looks cool, but as soon as you get a certain distance away, the engine de-renders the object. ):
